Teaching artists interested in working with Dance Theatre Etcetera can send an email, with an enclosed cover letter and teaching resume (in .doc of .pdf formats) to Program Director Jon Mayer. DTE works primarily with highly experienced (5+ years) teaching artists. We work with artists who have a commitment to creating positive change in their communities and a distinguised track record as artists and educators. Artistic disciplines include video, radio/audio production, spoken word, theater, and movement.
DTE accepts high school, college, and post-grad interns in a variety of areas. Media/marketing interns, production interns, and all interested high school students can apply by sending an email to Program Director Jon Mayer, including a resume (in .doc of .pdf format). Interns (with the exception of high school students) must be prepared to commit at least eight hours/week to their internship, flexible within business hours.
DTE is always interested in community members who want to get involved in creating positive change in NYC. Send an email to Executive Director Martha Bowers to discuss how you might get involved. Volunteers are generally needed around special events, including the annual Red Hook Fest.
